If you are a current 17³Ô¹ÏÍø student, registration for summer classes will be available through starting Monday, March 1, 2027 and you can register just as you would for spring or fall semester courses.

You are allowed to take up to 12 credits total for the summer, and a maximum of 6 credits in either session I or II. If you are registering for more than 6 semester hours per session, you will need to complete the .

If you are on a leave of absence for the spring semester, you won't receive a time ticket to register. Please call the Registrar's Office at 607-436-2531 so that we can issue you a time ticket to register.

Online summer courses can be a good fit for non-degree students of all ages, including:

• high school seniors getting a head start on college courses;
• students enrolled at other colleges who want to take courses at Oneonta to transfer back to their home institutions; and
• students who are taking courses with the goal of eventually enrolling at Oneonta or another college.

The application deadline for a visiting student for a summer session term is one week prior the first day of classes. This deadline is set to allow time to create your user account and gain access to our online learning platform before the class begins.

Financial Liability for courses from which you withdraw applies depending on the length of the course and the date on which you withdrew:

Written notification is required to drop a course. The Registrar's Office is closed on weekends. Contact the Registrar during a weekday if you wish to drop a course or email the Registrar at registration@oneonta.edu. Notification must be received via email or received in the office on or before the drop deadline.

*College Fees are non-refundable if you withdraw on the first day of class or after.*

Tuition liability for internships is calculated based on the internship dates listed on your internship form.

Financial liability for courses from which you withdraw applies depending on the date on which you withdrew.

17³Ô¹ÏÍø reserves the right to cancel any course because of insufficient enrollment or other reasons. Should cancellation be necessary, a student may choose another course or request a full refund.

If you need assistance dropping a course you need to contact the Office of the Registrar in person, by fax 607-436-2164 or email registration@oneonta.edu. Notification must be received by 11:59 p.m. of the date listed.

The last day to ADD a course with a signature for any session except the short session is the 4th class day. The last day to ADD a course with a signature in the short session is the 3rd day.

Internship dates and deadlines are determined by the actual dates of the internship as listed on the approved internship form. Contact Student Accounts to determine financial liability and the Office of the Registrar to determine academic liability.

There is a maximum number of credits a matriculated 17³Ô¹ÏÍø student can register for during the summer term. Please refer to the maximum credit per term policy for more information.
